Toledo at Nepenthes Los Angeles

Toledo at Nepenthes Los Angeles

Earlier this spring, Toledo joined Nepenthes Los Angeles for a pop-up event that brought together friends, customers, and the broader creative community around a shared appreciation for thoughtful design and everyday objects.

For us, jewelry has always existed somewhere between utility and personal ritual. The pieces we make are intended to be worn daily, collecting meaning through use rather than being reserved for special occasions. The opportunity to present the collection within the context of Nepenthes felt like a natural extension of that philosophy.

During the event, visitors spent time with the collection in person, handling pieces, trying them on, and sharing their own interpretations. Those conversations remain one of the most rewarding parts of our work. Seeing how different people connect with the same object reinforces our belief that jewelry becomes most meaningful through individual experience.

As part of the event, Nepenthes Los Angeles sat down with us to discuss the origins of Toledo, our approach to design, and the ideas that continue to shape the brand. We spoke about creating objects with longevity, the relationship between craft and everyday life, and the value of making things that can age alongside their owners.

We’re grateful to the team at Nepenthes Los Angeles for the invitation and thoughtful conversation, and to everyone who stopped by the pop-up.
